Londoners at a bus stop. The lady, realising that I was taking a photograph of her, smiled and asked to see it. When I told her it was a film camera she said, "I hope I look beautiful." She does. / Londoners numa paragem de autocarro. A senhora, apercebendo-se de que lhe tirava uma fotografia, sorriu e pediu para a ver. Quando lhe disse que a máquina era analógica disse “espero que eu tenha ficado bonita”. E ficou :)

This month I had the chance to visit the beautiful Beaverbrook hotel. / Este mês tive a oportunidade de visitar o bonito Beaverbrook hotel.
Even though it was August, on this day it rained like it does on sad winter days. / Ainda que seja Agosto, neste dia em chovia torrencialmente como se fosse inverno.

Some eucalyptus leaves that I bought in my local garden centre, George’s Den, which made the house smell good throughout the whole week. / Folhas de eucalipto que comprei numa loja local que se chama George’s Den e que fez a casa ficar a cheirar bem durante a semana toda.
Martin in our new kitchen on the day we were given the keys of the house. / O Martin na nossa cozinha nova no dia em que recebemos as chaves da casa.
The first flowers Martin sent to me. They are almost 5 years old. / As primeiras flores que o Martin me deu há quase 5 anos.
As I said, the light is pretty good in this house. This is the master bedroom which is currently being painted in a different colour. / Como já disse, a luz na nossa casa é muito bonita. Este é o nosso quarto e está neste momento a ser pintado de uma cor diferente.

Some of the photos of this month’s diary were taken during Copenhagen Fashion week. Because this was my first time there I actually wrote a city guide for Vogue Portugal too. / Algumas das fotos do diary deste mês foram tiradas durante a fashion week de Copenhaga. Aproveitei a minha primeira visita à capital da Dinamarca para escrever um guia para a Vogue Portugal.
This dear friend of mine and special soul, Chloe Vaz, has created a movement with her boyfriend, Codie Wiggins, where they aim to inspire people to be proud of who they are. While encouraging his students to channel their essence through dance in one of his classes, Codie, a truly amazing artist and dancer, said the following: “I woke up me”. Chloe found that statement really inspiring and together they came up with these simple, yet loud, t-shirts. I think this is what people mean by “power couple” :) / A minha querida amiga Chloe Vaz criou com o seu namorado, Codie Wiggins, um movimento cujo objectivo é inspirar as pessoas a serem verdadeiramente quem elas são. O Codie, um artista e bailarino incrível, disse “I woke up me” durante uma das suas aulas de dança de modo a encorajar os seus alunos a encontrarem a sua essência na forma como dançam. Juntos criaram então esta simples, ainda assim impactante, t-shirt para espalhar essa mesma mensagem. Acho que a este tipo de duplas chamamos “power couple” :)
I always say it’s hard to make new friends as an adult, but sometimes I surprise myself. I met Barbara recently and I hope we stay in each other’s lives for a long long time. / Digo sempre que é difícil fazer novas amizades em adulta, mas às vezes surpreendo-me. Conheci a Bárbara recentemente mas espero que continuemos presentes na vida uma da outra durante muito muito tempo.
