Into funky socks lately. London never ceases to amaze me. An afternoon in December in our bedroom. Some products sent to me by Typology, I particularly like their Hydrolat Fleurs d’Oranger Bio toner. My new candle holder by Rowen & Wren. A plant given to us by our neighbours on the day we moved in. Part of our Christmas decorations. More Christmas decorations. Oh yes, more Christmas. Also, we now have the ocasional glass of wine together at home. How grown up of us :) Anna Wintour on our Christmas tree. I gave this beef ragu a go and it turned out pretty good. The meat is cooked for 8h in a slow cooker and, in the end, it melts in your mouth. Soooo delicious. Pears are my winter fruit. Indeed, very excited about our first Christmas tree considering the amount of pictures I took of it. While making some homemade Christmas decorations. Just slice all kinds of citrus and slow cook them in the oven for 2 to 3 hours at 100 degrees, your house will look beautiful and smell incredibly well. Always seeking the sunshine. Just making some roast chicken for my friends. Cooking is my way of saying “I love you”. East London. Christmas is just so EXTRA in London. Oh that golden light at the National History Museum. My sister, Susana, and I. She surprise me and showed up in London in December. We went ice skating and it was both fun and traumatic. I’m not sure the Miras were born to ice skate. My best friend. He smiles, sometimes :) At Granger & co, having breakfast with my sister before she returned to Lisbon. Snake on the loose. This puffer has been my go to jacket this winter. Gonçalo & Martin. I love this egg holder I bought in a local pottery in the Algarve. The most magic meal with Chloe and Gonçalo at the Linda stores restaurant in Soho. No matter where he is, a designer must be always ready to take his client’s measurements. No new friends, Chloe again. Martin looks cool even when on his way to the post office to return a parcel. And he also looks cool on his way to his work Christmas party. A wonderful pop up store in my neighbourhood, called Homework. Beautiful light at the William Morris gallery. My mum, looking more and more beautiful by the day. Through my mum’s eyes. My parents came to visit us just before Christmas and we had the best time. Us again :) At an antiques shop in Walthamstow. Below, are some pictures of Ripley on his first day at our home. Adam and Valentine on New Year’s Eve. Ripley’s bed. This Topshop jacket makes me feel like an old movie star. That low light in the living room. Martin got me this Anissa Krmiche’s vase and I love it. Oh, the light in my kitchen. My new bar trolley from Where Saints Go. Sunset captured on our way to the pub for a Sunday roast. Two pieces of art done by friends. I love a wreath, we don’t really do them in Portugal you see. Omg, the colours of this pub. Coolest east Londoner. On Christmas eve at the Edition Hotel. Valentine and his daddy, Adam. The cutest baby on earth. He really is something else, looks at his little Burberry jumper, hilarious! This shop in Walthamstow, Smith and Gold, is adorable. Our personalised basket from Companhia das Cestas has arrived. This room is still empty but I love that the basket matches the ceiling. That’s it for now :) expect a lot of dog pictures in next month’s diary. *These are my own images and they may not be used for commercial purposes without prior consent.
