Me & My White Shirt
Viajei para portugal com uma mala de mão apenas porque inicialmente ia ficar uma semana mas foi surgindo mais trabalho e agora quase que já cá estou há um mês. O que me tem salvo a vida têm sido os bons básicos que trouxe comigo como esta camisa/vestido da marca Aline, que por sinal é portuguesa! Com o shopping online há cada vez mais potencial de alastrar a moda portuguesa pelo mundo, e a mim dá-me muito prazer em apoiar o que é nacional e de boa qualidade. Eu não vivo sem uma boa camisa branca e, por muito que pareça que tenho já uma vasta colecção delas, há sempre espaço para mais uma porque na minha opinião são das peças mais versáteis que se pode ter. Neste momento escrevo-vos de Guimarães, onde estamos a gravar a novela “Valor da Vida”, cidade pela qual me apaixonei mal aqui pus os pés. Estou deliciada com a sua arquitectura pitoresca e bem conservada e com a elegância dos monumentos, guardiões do tempo e da identidade Portuguesa. Em dias de folga como o de hoje dou por mim a pensar na sorte que tenho em poder, através do meu trabalho, viajar de um lado para o outro e a beber das culturas dos diferentes sítios por onde passo. Mas parte de mim também gosta muito de estar em casa, por isso não imaginam as saudades que eu tenho de voltar para o meu amor e para o nosso lar. No entanto amar também é libertar, e estas desafios fazem parte do crescimento a dois :) prometo que da próxima vez que ouvirem de mim vou ter algo mais para relatar do que o meu estado de espírito. Talvez faça um post sobre Guimarães, se tiverem dicas sobre o que visitar partilhem-nas comigo. Até breve xx
I traveled to Portugal with only hand luggage because I was initially going to stay for a week but work came up and by now I've been here for almost a month. What has saved my life were some good basic items that I brought like this shirt / dress from the brand Aline, which by the way is Portuguese! With online shopping there is more and more potential to spread the Portuguese fashion around the world, and I have great pleasure in supporting what is national and of good quality. I do not live without a good white shirt and, as much as it might seem that I already have a vast collection of them, there is always room for one more because in my opinion they are the most versatile piece one can have. At this moment I am writing to you from Guimarães, where we are filming the TV drama "Value of Life", city for which I fell as soon as we arrived. I am delighted with its well-preserved picturesque architecture and with the elegance of its monuments, guardians of time and of the Portuguese identity (because, in case you didn't know, this is the city in which Portugal was born). On a day off like today I find myself thinking about how lucky I am to travel from one place to another for work and having the chance to absorb the cultures of the different places I visit. But part of me also loves being at home, I’m so homesick you have no idea, I can’t wait to go back to my fiancé and our home. However, to love is also to free, and these challenges are part of growing up as a couple :) I promise that the next time you hear from me I will have something more to say rather than to report on how I'm feeling. Maybe I'll do a post about Guimarães, if you have tips on what to visit share them with me. Speak soon xx
